Looking For Shortstop, Cardinals Have Asked About Aybar

The St. Louis Cardinals are looking for a shortstop and have asked the Los Angeles Angels about Erick Aybar, according to sources.
The Cardinals checked on Alexei Ramirez and Jimmy Rollins, but talks never progressed.
The Angels are willing to move players, but St. Louis would have to part with some of their young pitching.
