Cubs Will Look To Extend Or Trade Samardzija This Winter

The Chicago Cubs haven't been able to find the type of trade package they want in return for Jeff Samardzija, so they will look to make a decision on his future this winter.
If they don't sign him to a long-term extension in the offseason, a trade will become more likely once again.
Chicago was looking for a package of top prospects for Samardzija, who won't be eligible for free agency until after the 2015 season.
