Mets Place Wright On Disabled List

The New York Mets have placed David Wright on the disabled list with a hamstring strain.
Wright underwent an MRI at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. He departed Friday's game against the Kansas City Royals.
He had been battling hamstring discomfort for a week, although the Mets portrayed the issue as a cramp and insisted he was not exercising poor judgment in playing through the injury.
