Cubs Promote Logan Watkins

The Chicago Cubs have promoted infielder Logan Watkins after placing Luis Valbuena on the disabled list with a right oblique strain.
Watkins, 23, was hitting .243 with an on-base percentage of .333 at Triple-A Iowa this season. He was Chicago's minor league player of the year in 2012.
