Angels Release Ryan Madson

The Los Angeles Angels have released Ryan Madson.
Madson signed a one-year, $3.5 million deal with incentives prior to the season. However, he suffered setbacks in his return from Tommy John surgery and never pitched for the team.
He last pitched for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2011, going 4-2 with a 2.37 earned-run average and 32 saves in 62 games.
