The Arizona Diamondbacks have promoted third baseman Matt Davidson.

Davidson, considered a top prospect, was the 35th overall selection in 2009.

At the Triple-A level this season, Davidson hit .278/.348/.484 with 16 homers in 466 plate appearances.
