The Boston Red Sox will promote Xander Bogaerts for their West Coast road trip, according to industry sources.
Bogaerts is hitting .284 with a .369 OBP and .453 slugging percentage in 60 games with Triple-A Pawtucket.
His natural position is shortstop, but he has spent time at third base.
