Jason Heyward has had successful surgery to repair a broken jaw suffered on Wednesday against the New York Mets.
The Atlanta Braves haven't said how long he will be out, but the remainder of the regular season is a possibility.
"He's a tough one to replace," Fredi Gonzalez conceded.
