Davey Johnson wants Bryce Harper to control his emotions on the field and in the dugout more regularly.

On Wednesday night, Harper smashed his bat on the Washington Nationals' helmet rack after striking out against the New York Mets.

"He expects himself to do well every time up," Johnson said. "Sometimes, it doesn't happen that way. He takes it out on something. He needs to quit that."
