Marlins Scouting Jose Abreu

The Miami Marlins were among a long list of teams that scouted Cuban defector Jose Dariel Abreu this weekend in the Dominican Republic.
In 42 games this year, the first baseman batted .382 with 13 homers.
Abreu has not yet been granted free-agent status by Major League Baseball, so he isn't currently entertaining offers.
