The San Francisco Giants are engaged in serious talks with Hunter Pence on a new contract.
A deal could be reached before the regular season ends on Sunday, or not at all.
"They're about to get back to me," Pence said. "We're either really close or really far away."
Asked if he got a sense the Giants wanted a deal before the final game Sunday, Pence said, "Yeah. I don't know. I'll know shortly. We'll see. We're talking."
