The Minnesota Twins have announced a two-year contract extension with Ron Gardenhire that runs through the 2015 season.

Gardenhire, who was in the final year of his contract, is the second-longest tenured manager in the Major Leagues after completing his 12th season.

The Twins have lost at least 93 games in three straight seasons.

I'm surprised he'd want the position considering the roster he has to deal with. He can only do as well as the players he's given to coach.
