Dodgers May Need To Win NLDS For Mattingly To Return

Don Mattingly guided the Los Angeles Dodgers through a horrible start en route to the National League West title and a playoff berth.
Despite that, the Dodgers haven't yet picked up Mattingly's reasonable contract option for the 2014 season.
A person with ties to the organization suggested that Mattingly may need to guide the Dodgers past the Atlanta Braves in the NLDS to ensure a return next season.
