The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 1-0 on Saturday afternoon, despite recording just two hits.
St. Louis now leads the NLCS 2-0 as the series shifts to Los Angeles.
The Cardinals are the first club to win a postseason game with two or fewer hits since the New York Yankees beat the Oakland Athletics in Game 3 of the ALDS in 2011. They are the first team to win in the postseason with two or fewer hits and no home runs since the Athletics beat the Baltimore Orioles in Game 4 of the ALCS in 1974.
