Jimenez Likely To Void Option With Indians, Become Free Agent

The Cleveland Indians may have considered offering Ubaldo Jimenez a contract extension, but the right-hander is expected to void his 2014 option and test the free agent market.
Cleveland could make Jimenez a one-year qualifying offer worth an estimated $14 million to guarantee they'll at least receive draft pick compensation if he leaves.
