Sonny Gray Has Thumb Surgery

Sonny Gray has undergone surgery on his left thumb.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Thomas Graham at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital on Thursday.
A screw was inserted to repair a fracture, suffered by Gray on a ball hit by Prince Fielder in Game 5 of the ALDS between the Oakland Athletics and Detroit Tigers.
Gray is expected to be ready and fully healthy by spring training.
