The Los Angeles Dodgers scouted Masahiro Tanaka this week and could become major players in the race to sign the pitcher.

Tanaka, who will turn 25 on Nov. 1, most recently pitched for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of Nippon Professional Baseball.
