Marlins Won't Make Giancarlo Stanton Available In Trade

The Miami Marlins will not make Giancarlo Stanton available in trade talks this offseason.
"Mr. Stanton is not available," general manager Dan Jennings said. "He is going to be in right field at Marlins Park, and [we're] looking forward to having a big year with him. We're excited. We think it's going to be a lot of fun building around him, and what he can mean to this ballclub and that city."
The Marlins are considering offering Stanton a multi-year contract.
Stanton is eligible for arbitration for the first time and is expected to command a salary close to $5 million.
