Choo Gets Qualifying Offer From Reds, Arroyo Doesn't

The Cincinnati Reds have issued Shin-Soo Choo the one-year, $14.1 million qualifying offer.
Choo hit .285/.423/.462 with 21 home runs and 20 stolen bases in his lone season with the Reds. He is expected to receive as much as $100 million on the open market, but the qualifying offer ensures Cincinnati of draft-pick compensation.
Bronson Arroyo was not issued the offer by the Reds. There was concern that Arroyo would accept the $14.1 million for 2014.
