McCann Still Open To Joining Rangers

The Texas Rangers signed Geovany Soto and named him their starting catcher on Tuesday, but free-agent Brian McCann isn't ruling the club out as a potential destination.
"He knows they potentially might have a need for somebody to fill that dual role of a big left-handed bat in the lineup as well as somebody to help behind the plate," agent BB Abbott said. "I think [the Rangers are] certainly a consideration."
McCann isn't ready to rule out any potential destination.
