Cubs Could Enter Race For Masahiro Tanaka

The Chicago Cubs appear to have entered the race to sign Japanese right-hander Masahiro Tanaka.
"We've done our work on him," Jed Hoyer said. "We plan on being part of it."
Tanaka, 25, was 24-0 with a 1.27 ERA in 28 regular-season games with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles.
He is the most sought-after Japanese pitcher since Yu Darvish signed with the Texas Rangers prior to the 2012 season.
