Red Sox Offer Saltalamacchia Two-Year Deal

The Boston Red Sox have extended a two-year contract offer to Jarrod Saltalamacchia, but there has been no indication that the two sides are nearing an agreement.
The Red Sox continue to pursue other options at catcher in Brian McCann, Carlos Ruiz and A.J. Pierzynski.
Saltalamacchia's offer is believed to be worth less than $10 million annually.
