Cherington Denies Report That Drew Certain To Leave Red Sox

Ben Cherington has disputed a report that Stephen Drew will not return to the Boston Red Sox.
"That's not something I've been told," Cherington said. "We're still talking with him and we'd like to have him back. We'll see what happens."
Drew is seeking a multiyear contract, something that the Red Sox may be looking to avoid.
