Cardinals Give Matheny Three-Year Extension

The St. Louis Cardinals have agreed to a three-year contract extension with Mike Matheny.
The extension will run through the 2017 season.
"I love what I do," Matheny said. "But to do it here in a place I call home is extremely special. ... I'm very grateful."
