Morton Gets $21M Extension From Pirates

The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed Charlie Morton to a three-year, $21 million contract extension, according to a source.
The guaranteed contract will pay Morton $4 million in 2014. His salary will increase to $8 million in 2015 and 2016, according to the source.
A club option for 2017 could increase the overall value of Morton's contract to $30 million.
