Red Sox, Marlins Have Discussed Middlebrooks

The Boston Red Sox and Miami Marlins may be natural trade partners as the offseason progresses.
The Red Sox and Marlins have discussed Will Middlebrooks a few times already, according to a Major League source.
Miami is looking for a third baseman and Boston may be able to move Middlebrooks if Stephen Drew re-signs to play shortstop and Xander Bogaerts becomes the third baseman.
