Darwin Barney, Cubs Reach $2.3M Deal

The Chicago Cubs have avoided arbitration with Darwin Barney by agreeing to a one-year, $2.3 million contract, according to a source.
Barney, who won a Gold Glove in 2012 and was a finalist last season, batted just .208 with a .266 on-base percentage.
