Rays To Sign Erik Bedard

The Tampa Bay Rays have agreed to sign Erik Bedard to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training.
Bedard, 34, spent the 2013 season with the Houston Astros, posting a 4.59 ERA with 8.2 K/9, 4.5 BB/9 and a 36.4 percent ground-ball rate in 151 innings as both a starter and reliever.
