Ervin Santana is still on the open market and discussing a possible deal with a number of teams, including the Kansas City Royals.
However, there appears to be little chance that the right-hander will re-sign with the Royals.
"We actually spoke today, I'll be very candid with you," Dayton Moore said, "and I don't think it's going to be anything we can work with."
