The Los Angeles Dodgers were involved in talks for Jon Lester and David Price prior to Thursday's non-waiver trade deadline.
Lester and Price ended up going to the Oakland Athletics and Detroit Tigers, respectively.
Ned Colletti said it would have taken more than one of L.A.'s top three prospects -- Joc Pederson, Corey Seager and Julio Urias -- to land either of those two pitchers.
