The Arizona Diamondbacks would like Dave Stewart to be their new general manager, according to a report.
The CBS Sports report was not clear if Arizona had made an offer to Stewart or if a deal was in place, only that the club had decided to offer the position to him.
Stewart, 57, has a diverse background in baseball, having been a successful Major League pitcher, then a pitching coach and an assistant general manager.
