The Toronto Blue Jays have begun contract talks with Melky Cabrera in hopes of re-signing him.
They are believed to be willing to offer him a three-year deal after an impressive 2014 season.
If no quick deal is reached, Toronto is expected to extend the outfielder a qualifying offer.
The Blue Jays signed Cabrera to a two-year, $16 million deal prior to the 2013 season.
