There is a 90 percent chance that the Boston Red Sox will end up signing Pablo Sandoval away from the San Francisco Giants, according to a report.
Dennis O'Donnell of KPIX in San Francisco put the other 10 percent towards the Toronto Blue Jays, not the Giants.
According to two sources, the Giants offered Sandoval the same five-year, $90 million contract they gave Hunter Pence. Sandoval reportedly countered looking for a seven-year deal.
