The Seattle Mariners are moving closer to re-signing Franklin Gutierrez.
Gutierrez missed all of last season with severe gastrointestinal issues.
The 31-year-old drew interest from several clubs after playing 10 games in December for Caracas in the Venezuelan Winter League.
