Albert Pujols hit the 522nd home run of his career on Sunday, moving him into sole possession of 18th place on the all-time home run list.

Pujols moved ahead of Ted Williams, Willie McCovey and Frank Thomas.

"Obviously, it's a great accomplishment, but it's disappointing we got swept by a great ballclub," he said. "It's an honor and a blessing to be in the same name category as those guys. But, at the same time, I've got to stay humble, and do my best to help my team win, and I wasn't able to do that today."

Next on the career list is Jimmie Foxx (534).

Great player.

He sits 108 homers shy of #6 Griffey (630). Now at age 35 (presumably), and his MVP days long behind him, barring any injuries, and under the assumption he can average 25+hr per season, it will take 4 seasons for Albert to reach that milestone. Catching A-Rod or Willie Mays is a longshot that would require at least 7 seasons.

700 (Bonds, Aaron, Ruth) is simply out of the question.
