The Texas Rangers plan to promote Joey Gallo on Tuesday.

Gallo, a power-hitting third baseman, began the season ranked as one of baseball's best prospects.

The 21-year-old was hitting .314/.425/.636 in 146 plate appearances for Double-A Frisco.
