The Detroit Tigers will dismiss Brad Ausmus as manager at the end of the season, according to a report by WDIV-TV's Bernie Smilovitz.
Smilovitz cited an unnamed source.
Ausmus told reporters on Thursday night that he has not been informed of his fate and is still operating under new general manager Al Avila's statement last month that he and his coaching staff would be evaluated at season's end like others in the organization.
The manager is under contract through next season.
