Los Angeles Angels owner Arte Moreno and president John Carpino were scheduled to meet with Yankees vice president and assistant general manager Billy Eppler Monday night in New York.
The Angels are looking for Jerry DiPoto's replacement and Eppler interviewed with them when the GM job went to DiPoto initially.
Eppler is also drawing interest from the Seattle Mariners.
This is Eppler's fourth season as Brian Cashman's assistant and his fifth as a VP. Eppler is in the 11th season with the Yankees and heavily involved in the professional scouting aspect of the operation.
