PG: Bulls vs Mavs

Post#1 » by DASMACKDOWN » Sat Oct 24, 2015 2:30 am

MCbuckets with the game winner!

Snell had his best game to me. He was aggressive most of the night and played well on both ends.
Niko was his steady good self. Same for Pau.
Jimmy is completely lost right now and seemingly is just looking to create assists.

Derrick was amazing. The team is totally different with him on the floor.
Taj was a BEAST tonight again.
Noah was really active and he and Taj combo did wonders again.
Portis was great again in limited time.

Doug was WAYYYY off all night and seemed to try to will shots in. But he hit the highly contested game winner in front of friends and family which was totally worth it.

Jimmy hit a game winner last preseason and had an awesome season to follow it. MIP confirmed for Dougie.

That right there is why Basketball is the best sport for me. Something about game winning basketball shots are just amazing.

Wasn't even open. It wasn't even a particularly well executed play.

Great finish ... I'm glad Hoiberg drew up the play for him at the end even though he was shooting like crap all game.

Wasn't this the exact same way Jimmy Butler started his amazing season? With a game winner against the Hawks preseason? DOUG MCDERMOTT FOR MIP.

He had to take the last shot. Either Dougie or Hoiberg himself.

Rose is back. Noah dunked. Taj was monstrous. And then mc3's finisher. What a game.

Probs to Fred for drawing that one up for Doug. It was a super tough shot and he was lucky, but you gotta take that. Great finish and that's gotta do wonders for his confidence.

Taj and Jo were phenomenal, looking forward to that tandem coming off the bench and locking teams down with their energy. Taj best on court, he's awesome.

Moore is miles better than Kirk/Brooks. He needs a heavier skew of the minutes.

Snell wasn't great, but was very good. Was pretty active and finished with 14.

Small sample, but Rose's addition looks to make a big difference. Looking forward to seeing him play this season, I think he's going to have a great season.

Jimmy - ????

Now it's time to beat the Cavs!

A few points:

1) Rose looked much better than I expected. He looked quick.

2) Jo and Taj were both awesome. Nice 2 way game for both of them.

3) I was so happy to keep Brooks and Kirk glued to the bench down the stretch. Line-up of ET, Snell, Doug, Taj and Noah was really good. When MDJ comes back, this will be a super bench!

Oh and also, wish we had picked up John Jenkins. He's a baller.

Anyone else notice how when Portis was in the game mid to late 4th Q the Mavs just completely stopped getting rebounds?

After seeing the preseason the top 9 should be Rose, Snell, Butler, Nikola and Pau with Moore, Doug, Taj and Jo off the bench with Kirk/Brooks used as the 10th guys depending on match ups. IMO Moore won the back up 1/2 spot this preseason.
