Which elderly player will have the best season?

Post#1 » by Hero » Sat Oct 24, 2015 3:47 pm

We have a few all time greats who are very close to retiring. Who do you expect to have the best showing? Who will have the worst showing?

Vince Carter
38 years, 17 seasons

Kevin Garnett
39 years, 20 seasons

Tim Duncan
39 years, 18 seasons

Andre Miller
39 years, 16 seasons

Kobe
37 years, 19 seasons

Manu Ginobli
38 years

Jason Terry
38 years

___

The obvious pick here is Duncan based on what we've seen. Kobe and Garnett both seem done. I expect Vince and Andre Miller to perform about as well as they can for their age but see limited minutes.

Elderly? Time flies faster than you think. Might as well sign up for your nursing home now. edit: Bill Russell.

Duncan.

If any player ever could play in their 40s it would be him.

Duncan easily.

KG won't play enough minutes to be eligible and Kobe will shoot ~42%.

I think we could probably find a better word to use than "elderly" these guys are still in their 30's

Not retiring, but I could see Pau Gasol average 15-9 again.
Otherwise, Tim Duncan is a safe bet, with Kobe being a risky but maybe worthy pick.

Kobe might have a good season. Especially if he keeps getting disrespected.

If the Kings or someone give him a rocking chair, dude might go vino.
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Kobe definetly. Think LTRain is going to let Timmy rest quite a bit.

Take Duncan out and add Paul pierce or something. Timmy is clearly superior to these guys by a large margin.

duncan and ginobili because they'll get their ring and for them that's all that matters.

kobe, because kobe is kobe.

garnett won't see the fruits of his stay until years later IF townes becomes good. or garnett could turn into a ewing-like teacher and totally suck
