The Texas Rangers inquired about Yoenis Cespedes more than once when he was a member of the Oakland Athletics, but they are unlikely to chase him in free agency.
Texas already has nearly $120 million committed for 2016, not including arbitration-eligible players.
That means re-signing Mike Napoli would be a more realistic option for the Rangers.
