Jacob deGrom will rejoin the New York Mets and start on Sunday against the Atlanta Braves.
deGrom has not pitched since April 8 due to a nagging lat injury. While sidelined, deGrom has been at home with his family as his newborn son dealt with an unknown medical issue.
Jaxon deGrom, who was born last Monday, was released from the hospital this week.
