Major League Baseball and the players' association plan to discuss the possibility of having pitchers compete in the Home Run Derby next summer.
Tony Clark said that a number of ideas will be discussed and considered, including an entirely separate competition for pitchers. Once Madison Bumgarner and other pitchers expressed interest in participating, the union and league talked about ways to incorporate pitchers into the event.
