The Toronto Blue Jays are "far along" in contract talks with Mat Latos, according to a report.
There is no guarantee that a contract will be finalized, but the Blue Jays have been talking with Latos' representatives over the last few weeks.
Latos, 29, split last season between the Chicago White Sox and Washington Nationals. He posted a 4.89 ERA, 42 strikeouts and 5.32 FIP in 70 innings.
