Mookie Betts struck out against Francisco Liriano of the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday, ending a streak of 129 regular season plate appearances without a punch-out dating back to last September.
The streak was the longest in Major League Baseball since Juan Pierre went 147 plate appearances without a strikeout in 2004.
