Greg Holland has officially declined the $15 million option in his contract with the Colorado Rockies for next season.
Holland met thresholds that pushed the value of his option up to $15 million. The Rockies are expected to pursue the closer in free agency.
He saved 41 games, tied for the most in the National League.
The Rockies may extend the $17.4 million qualifying offer to Holland.
