Because of a ratification of the MLB's posting system, the maximum posting fee for Shohei Ohtani is $20 million.

Past posting fees have ranged from Yu Darvish's $51.7 million in 2011, Daisuke Matsuzaka at $51.1 million in 2006 to Nori Aoki's $2.5 million in 2011.
