Howie Kendrick has agreed to a two-year, $7 million deal with the Washington Nationals, according to sources.
The deal is pending completion of a physical.
The Nationals wanted to upgrade their bench. Kendrick has primarily played second base, but also made 33 starts in the outfield for Washington in 2017 and provides insurance at multiple positions.
