The Pirates have claimed LHP Enny Romero off waivers from the Nationals.
Romero has been added to the 40-man roster and will report to the Pirates within the next 72 hours.
The 27-year old Romero began the 2018 season with Washington and made two relief appearances before being designated for assignment on April 7.
In 53 games with the Nationals last season, he posted a 3.56 ERA and 65 strikeouts.
Romero began his Major League career with the Rays in 2013 and has appeared in 131 games in the big leagues.
