The St. Louis Cardinals will be players for big-time free agents Bryce Harper and Manny Machado.
When asked about signing a player to a huge contract, Cardinals president Bill DeWitt III said, \"We could do it, sure. It’s about (considering) putting all our eggs in one basket. We have the payroll room.\"
The Cardinals haven\'t landed a big name in a while, but they were in the bidding for Jason Heyward and David Price and were willing to take on Giancarlo Stanton in a trade.
